黃石寨位于張家界國家森林公園的中部，海拔約1200米，寨頂面積達200多畝，是由無數(shù)懸崖峭壁共同托起的一塊雄偉、奇特而又美麗的臺地。從寨頂眺望四周，只見云漫萬塹，千峰攢聚，綠樹凌空，薄霧飄舞。黃石寨是張家界風景的精華，一位著名詩人這樣評價黃石寨：“五步稱奇，七步叫絕，十步之外，目瞪口呆。”
杉林幽徑
首先呈現(xiàn)在我們面前的是一排陡峭而又曲折的石級，隱隱約約躺在茂密寧靜的杉林里，那就是“杉林幽徑”。白古登黃石寨只有后山一條路，今天走的這條路，是十多年前人工開鑿的。從杉林幽徑上山，兩邊的風景，讓人目不暇接。
羅漢迎賓

大巖屋

娛樂臺
