二、眾所周知，蘇聯有個叫西伯利亞的地方。那里一年四季冰天雪地、荒無人煙、蕭瑟凄涼，是專門用來流放犯人的。在我國古代尤其是唐宋兩朝，這一帶就是中原地區的“西伯利亞”，是封建王朝的流放地。為什么要選擇這兒而不選擇別處呢?因為這里交通閉塞，人煙稀少，瘟疫流行，常年干旱，天氣酷熱，環境極為惡劣。

三、唐宋兩朝，許多被流放至此的人由于路途艱難，初到伊始，人地生疏、水土不服，加之情緒低落、悲觀失望，極少有生還中原的。他們個個無不懷著走天涯、下海角的感受?！疤煅暮＝恰痹谒麄兛磥恚粌H僅是指地球的盡頭，而且意味著人生末日的到來。難怪被流放至此的唐朝兩度宰相李德裕稱之為“鬼門關”。

這是我們沿海灘遇到的一個石刻，上面刻有“海判南天”，判在這里是什么意思呢?判為分開、分離、分辨的意思，可以認為南海與南天在此分開。如果我們一起背對著這塊巨石，面朝著南還就能領悟到，也可以說大海把帶和南天，隔開或分開。是否，也可以如此理解：大地，大海，和南天在此分開同時也是在此匯合。我們在回過頭看看，這是誰題寫的呢?是清康熙53年欽差大臣苗曹湯，巡邊至此題刻，這時候天涯海角風景區目前發現的最早石刻。

往前走不出二十米米，在海邊的一塊巨石，就是舉世文明的“南天一柱”石刻，“南天一柱” 的上款刻著，宣統元年四個小字，下款刻的是，“永安范云梯”字樣?！靶y元年”也就是“公元1909年”，永安是地名，經考證是指“永安州”，也就是現在的廣西賀州地區的錳山縣?！胺对铺荨?是“南天一柱” 的題字作者。字步月，永安水竇村人。，出生于清同治二年，“范云梯”在海南為官前后十八年，宣統元年晚清朝廷腐敗無能。外國列強紛至沓來，共同瓜分中國清朝處在內外交困，危機四伏，風雨飄搖之中，當時46歲的“范云梯”出任崖州知州，苦心經營海南島這快不毛之地。一天巡邊至此看見驚濤之中一根石柱頂天立地，心潮澎湃，感慨萬千。有道是，“國家興旺，匹夫有責”。意到筆到，“南天一柱”四個大字一揮而就。只見字體端莊，雄渾有力，筆記飽滿，言近旨遠。完全是渾然天成。

遠古先民的“地方天圓”，認為大地是方形的，故有東南西北的說法，天是圓的，天籠蓋著“四方大地”，大地東南西北分別有四跟柱子支撐著天空，如此的南天一拄迎合了人們的地方天圓之說。人們見此“南天一拄”大可不必擔心天要塌崩下來。根據中國傳統的說，天是圓的，它由地上四個角的四根柱子支撐著，這就是其中的一根柱子的化身，它支撐著南天，讓人民安居樂業。除此之外，我認為，它更能代表海南人民堅強、勇敢的性格，是海南人民的象征。

南天一拄獨立石磊之中，屹立在南海之濱，奇偉壯觀。南天一拄和我們后面要游覽的天涯，海角一起構成主題景區的三大景觀。1986版的兩圓人民幣的背面圖案采用的就就是這“南天一柱”的風景圖。

到了天涯海角，諸位會看見兩座巨石，上面分別刻有“天涯”“海角”的字樣，這就是我們的目的地。延著沙灘200左右，正前方十多米高的花崗巖小山。就是著名的天涯石刻所在地。雍正十一年，時任中國最南端的崖州太守程哲，一天，路過海灣，一巨石判決海灘路中，構筑天然屏障，巖頂藍天、高聳天際，青山白云環繞朝向神奇的海風吹來，引發感慨，便題寫了“天涯”兩個字。距今已有260多年的歷史，如今作為旅游景區向游人開放，引人入勝天涯兩個字可謂一字連城。

朋友們,現在我們乘車前往天子山自然保護區。天子山，海拔1262.5米，因當地土家族領袖向大坤被軍擁為“向王天子”而得名。天子山為臺地地貌，中間高，四周低，因而視野開闊，透視線長，層次分明，氣勢雄渾。天子山觀景，與黃石寨、金鞭溪的感覺不同。游黃石寨，您是與群峰對坐，與群峰平視;游金鞭溪，您是“人在畫圖中”仰視高聳于溪兩岸的群峰;而在天子山，則可俯視大千世界，您會生出“山上無山我獨尊”的無限豪情。天子山有四大奇觀：峰林、云海、日出、冬雪。一幅幅雄偉壯觀、奇特迷人的景象，相信會讓大家大飽眼福而流邊忘返。

(松子崗)這里就是袁家界。前方那片臺地叫松子崗，傳說當年向王天子建天子國，最初的城址就在這里。后來才選在水繞四門，于是這里就成了向王天子的第二故都。

分地方如黃石寨、腰子寨等處仍保留原來的臺地風貌，大多數已在水流切割、浸蝕風化、崩落作用下，變成眾多的石峰。索溪峪這一帶，許多地方砂巖巖峰的密度大大削減了，有的地方已夷為平地，保留下來的山峰腳較大，這些都表明其發育期已進入老齡階段。天子山則不同。天子山為臺地地貌，分上下兩層，上層在800米以上，是二疊紀泥質石灰巖，800米以下則是泥盆紀的石英砂巖。由于砂巖垂直節理發育，加之外張力的長期作用，從而出現兩側壁立的峽谷和板狀石峰，再由板狀石峰斷裂崩塌形成仙人橋、南天門之類的石門、石橋，同時還形成許多半島式的小灣，有的“半島”伸出100多米，成為視野開闊天然觀景臺，并構成曲曲折折的壁岸線。

從模型圖上我們看到，除了形成砂巖峰林的部分，還有大量砂巖山體在沉睡之中，期待著漫長的歲月之刀，慢慢把它們鏤刻成未來的砂巖峰林。因此，也許我們中有人曾冒出過這些峰林有朝一日如果都倒塌了該怎么辦的耽心，那么，現在我們就可以舒一口長氣了。資源豐富得很呢，后備力量充分得很呢!概括起來說，根據流水浸蝕地貌的發展規律，其峰林將會向天子山臺地和其他分水嶺方向遷移，天子山頂部殘留的二疊紀石灰剝去后，變成塊塊方山和根根峰柱，而張家界、索溪峪等地的峰林將成低矮殘丘，使整個地貌進入老年期。但這一過程是十分緩慢的，如果沒有突發性災難的毀滅性襲擊，這里的石英砂巖峰林地貌在宏觀上面臨一個穩定的演化進程。

朋友們，天子山之行已經結束，現在，有三條路可供大家選擇：一是乘索道下山，二是走臥龍嶺下十里畫廊，三是走南天門。南天門可是大自然一絕，離乘車點也較近。

索溪峪位于武陵源風景名勝區，總面積為25400公頃。景區呈現盆狀，四周高，中間低，山，丘，川并存，峰洞，湖具備。峰秀、谷幽、水碧、洞奧為其景觀的主要特征?，F已開發小景區8個，即：西海峰林、十里畫廊、水繞四門、百丈峽、寶峰湖、黃龍洞，一線天，一共約300多個景點。

索溪峪的景觀，以山水為依托。不僅山奇、水秀，而且橋險、洞幽。由于處于砂巖與石灰巖交接處和峰林地貌比較發育，索溪峪的山沒有張家界那么峭峻，但卻也巍巍層列。站在索溪鎮或進入“十里畫廊”、“西海峰林”等觀景區，只見深溝幽谷中的石峰，一座簇擁著一座，綿延一、二十里，尤如一幅水墨長卷，煞是壯觀。幽深中帶著恬淡，粗獷中含著嬌媚，給人以心曠神怡之感。

往前走不出二十米米，在海邊的一塊巨石，就是舉世文明的“南天一柱”。石刻，“南天一柱” 的上款刻著，宣統元年四個小字，下款刻的是，“永安范云梯”字樣?！靶y元年”也就是“公元1920xx年”，永安是地名，經考證是指“永安州”，也就是現在的廣西賀州地區的錳山縣?！胺对铺荨?是“南天一柱” 的題字作者。字步月，永安水竇村人。，出生于清同治二年，“范云梯”在海南為官前后十八年，宣統元年晚清朝廷腐敗無能。外國列強紛至沓來，共同瓜分中國清朝處在內外交困，危機四伏，風雨飄搖之中，當時46歲的“范云梯”出任崖州知州，苦心經營海南島這快不毛之地。一天巡邊至此看見驚濤之中一根石柱頂天立地，心潮澎湃，感慨萬千。有道是，“國家興旺，匹夫有責”。意到筆到，“南天一柱”四個大字一揮而就。只見字體端莊，雄渾有力，筆記飽滿，言近旨遠。完全是渾然天成。

遠古先民的“地方天圓”，認為大地是方形的，故有東南西北的說法，天是圓的，天籠蓋著“四方大地”，大地東南西北分別有四跟柱子支撐著天空，如此的南天一拄迎合了人們的地方天圓之說。人們見此“南天一拄”大可不必擔心天要塌崩下來。

南天一拄獨立石磊之中，屹立在南海之濱，奇偉壯觀。南天一拄和我們后面要游覽的天涯，海角一起構成主題景區的三大景觀。1986版的兩圓人民幣的背面圖案采用的就就是這“南天一柱”的風景圖。
