today i also had the honor of doing the cause of the leaf, but i was still young leaves, when i set foot on this land, i hesitate, i can do please?

but when i saw a senior education, i can be very proud to tell you that i have no regrets today is who leaves this determination to do so is she, an ordinary teacher, a bit ordinary private kindergarten teachers - teachers twenty years ago since she labeled as "child king" crown, it is destined to accompany her with the ordinary, there is no substantial income, no enjoyment of luxury, there are only busy life and shoulder heavy responsibilities, in this extraordinary early childhood education position, has spent more than two dozen spring and autumn annals, he no regrets, she "does not obliterate the heart of love," as a motto to inspire, and remind ourselves to constantly improve themselves. 20 years ago, a woman, in the absence of any conditions with the help of a man propped up this banner, what she has insisted this is love, love of children is a love of education, for many years, her rain or shine, as she said, so the teacher, i extraordinary, and so the teacher, i am rich, and so the teacher, i am happy, and so the teacher, i have no reason to regret this life. she once said: every day to come into contact with a group of innocent children is a well-being.

therefore, she and the children often work together to build a rectangular square has become a high-rise buildings, with mickey mouse and donald duck into the tens of thousands of households crayon green with red chalk depicting the future world, using fine silk thread woven cloth beautiful fairy tale, it is so light in young children in the fading golden childhood, but her heart will not increase with age and the disappearance of the passage of time. i asked her when a teacher what is most needed? she answered without hesitation: "love", teachers are the implication of a love and dedication, the hearts of teachers, teachers of the situation should be like a rain shower flower leaves, and only in the growth of love in their hearts to their children is pure and beautiful of. her children were very small age, poor self-care and will not wear , xu things which are silently every day for her children were doing, i remember on one occasion, a child was accidentally nails poked feet, from a thick, she mouth to suction out the child, children trousers pulled the stool, she took the children to take home for the cautious good clothes.

encounter these things, she always said no, and their children are. 20xx to december 19 of a mother is the most cruel day, this day, her son, only 24 years old, was diagnosed with advanced liver cancer, the teacher leaves the face of this news, the really faint passed you can not, ah, his children a few days ago it was good, how can god do that to a kind-hearted mother, ah, when all the others have insisted that the mother could not, she died of illness in children after less than a week has returned to the classroom, the children returned to the side, what is it? what is a mother will allow us to do this, is love, he said, these points are not her darling baby, are her most beloved child.

everyone says: teachers is too ordinary, and yes, teachers are extraordinary, but the cause is great, because they are quietly engaged in the cause of the dedication and selfless sacrifice.

ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon! i?m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. i hope you will like it, and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.

first i want to ask you some questions:

1、 do you know what is youth?

2、 how do you master your youth?

youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind; it is not rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions: it is the freshness; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life. youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease. this often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. nobody grows old merely by a number of years. we grow old by deserting our ideals.

years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. worry, fear, self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

whether 60 of 16, there is in every human being?s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what?s next and the joy of the game of living. in the center of your heart and my heart there?s a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young.

when the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

thank you!

hello:

honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen. today,we are gathering here to discuss a very hot issue. how to find harmony in a new age between man and nature? where modern science and technology are concerned i am only a layman i have to say. however, living in this "new age" , seeing my dear ones suffering from respiratory diseases from time to time, finding the beautiful colors of green and blue are being replaced by that of gray and pale, and realizing that our mother planet is getting more and more unhealthy; i cant help trying to offer my idea and my trivial efforts to look for the answer of the question.

as the ancient greek oracle goes: know thyself. i think in answering this above-mentioned question, this precondition is also very important.

who are we? this is a question, which should be answered not only by those specialists, but also by every one of human beings.

some people may proudly say: we are the masters of nature. it is true that the idea of "man can conquer nature" has dominated peoples mind for years, and it is true, man has kept acting like a master and doing whatever things he wants for thousands of years. however, as the consequence of this kind of "leadership" , now the "master" seems to be confronted with problems that are far beyond his control. facts are really very ample. the

green house effect leaves islands and cities along the coast, such as this oriental pearl-shanghai, in danger of the disaster of being drowned; the holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for some creatures including human beings; the phenomena of el nino and la nina leave the land with serious flood and drought, and the diseases, caused by pollution, are increasing at an incredible speed... seeing all these facts, can we still ignore the counterattack of nature? we are not the masters of nature. facing all the disasters made by ourselves, we, mankind as a whole should realize that we are just a normal member of the big family of nature. any mistreatment towards nature will meet only with the revenge from her.

by saying so, i do not mean we should give a sudden stop to any development. because that will result in a threat to the existence of human society. i mean we should treat nature equally, leaving the chance of existence and development to nature as we are obtaining the same thing, and thus we will get the situation of win-win.

i am very pleased to find that now more and more people, from every corner of the planet, have come to realize that harmony with nature is the only way to universal and continuous progress and prosperity. and i think that is why we come here from all over the country to discuss this topic today.

i want to end my speech by quoting from mr. nixon. "our destiny offers, not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity." the future is not ours to see of course. however, by seizing firmly the opportunities, by knowing clearly about ourselves, we, human beings, can doubtlessly achieve the real harmony with nature!

thank you.

this is the text of the commencement address by steve jobs, ceo of apple computer and of pixar animation studios, delivered on june 12, 20xx.

i am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. i never graduated from college. truth be told, i never graduated from college. this is the closest ive ever gotten to a college graduation. today i want to tell you three stories from my life. thats it. no big deal. just three stories.

the first story is about connecting the dots.

i dropped out of reed college after the first 6 months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before i really quit. so why did i drop out?

it started before i was born. my biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption. she felt very strongly that i should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife. except that when i popped out they decided at the last minute that they really wanted a girl. so my parents, who were on a waiting list, got a call in the middle of the night asking: "we have an unexpected baby boy; do you want him?" they said: "of course." my biological mother later found out that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school. she refused to sign the final adoption papers. she only relented a few months later when my parents promised that i would someday go to college.

and 17 years later i did go to college. but i naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as stanford, and all of my working-class parents savings were being spent on my college tuition. after six months, i couldnt see the value in it. i had no idea what i wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out. and here i was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life. so i decided to drop out and trust that it would all work out ok. it was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions i ever made. the minute i dropped out i could stop taking the required classes that didnt interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked interesting.

it wasnt all romantic. i didnt have a dorm room, so i slept on the floor in friends rooms, i returned coke bottles for the 5 cent; deposits to buy food with, and i would walk the 7 miles across town every sunday night to get one good meal a week at the hare krishna temple. i loved it. and much of what i stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on. let me give you one example:

reed college at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country. throughout the campus every poster, every label on every drawer, was beautifully hand calligraphed. because i had dropped out and didnt have to take the normal classes, i decided to take a calligraphy class to learn how to do this. i learned about serif and san serif typefaces, about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes great typography great. it was beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science cant capture, and i found it fascinating.

none of this had even a hope of any practical application in my life. but ten years later, when we were designing the first macintosh computer, it all came back to me. and we designed it all into the mac. it was the first computer with beautiful typography. if i had never dropped in on that single course in college, the mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts. and since windows just copied the mac, its likely that no personal computer would have them. if i had never dropped out, i would have never dropped in on this calligraphy class, and personal computers might not have the wonderful typography that they do. of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when i was in college. but it was very, very clear looking backwards ten years later.

again, you cant connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. you have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. this approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

my second story is about love and loss.

i was lucky — i found what i loved to do early in life. woz and i started apple in my parents garage when i was 20. we worked hard, and in 10 years apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a $2 billion company with over 4000 employees. we had just released our finest creation — the macintosh — a year earlier, and i had just turned 30. and then i got fired. how can you get fired from a company you started? well, as apple grew we hired someone who i thought was very talented to run the company with me, and for the first year or so things went well. but then our visions of the future began to spanerge and eventually we had a falling out. when we did, our board of directors sided with him. so at 30 i was out. and very publicly out. what had been the focus of my entire adult life was gone, and it was devastating.

i really didnt know what to do for a few months. i felt that i had let the previous generation of entrepreneurs down - that i had dropped the baton as it was being passed to me. i met with david packard and bob noyce and tried to apologize for screwing up so badly. i was a very public failure, and i even thought about running away from the valley. but something slowly began to dawn on me — i still loved what i did. the turn of events at apple had not changed that one bit. i had been rejected, but i was still in love. and so i decided to start over.

i didnt see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. the heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. it freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.

during the next five years, i started a company named next, another company named pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who would become my wife. pixar went on to create the worlds first computer animated feature film, toy story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world. in a remarkable turn of events, apple bought next, i returned to apple, and the technology we developed at next is at the heart of apples current renaissance. and laurene and i have a wonderful family together.

im pretty sure none of this would have happened if i hadnt been fired from apple. it was awful tasting medicine, but i guess the patient needed it.

sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. dont lose faith. im convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that i loved what i did. youve got to find what you love. and that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. and the only way to do great work is to love what you do. if you havent found it yet, keep looking. dont settle. as with all matters of the heart, youll know when you find it. and, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. so keep looking until you find it. dont settle.

my third story is about death.

when i was 17, i read a quote that went something like: "if you live each day as if it was your last, someday youll most certainly be right." it made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, i have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "if today were the last day of my life, would i want to do what i am about to do today?" and whenever the answer has been "no" for too many days in a row, i know i need to change something.

remembering that ill be dead soon is the most important tool ive ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. remembering that you are going to die is the best way i know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. you are already naked. there is no reason not to follow your heart.

about a year ago i was diagnosed with cancer. i had a scan at 7:30 in the morning, and it clearly showed a tumor on my pancreas. i didnt even know what a pancreas was. the doctors told me this was almost certainly a type of cancer that is incurable, and that i should expect to live no longer than three to six months. my doctor advised me to go home and get my affairs in order, which is doctors code for prepare to die. it means to try to tell your kids everything you thought youd have the next 10 years to tell them in just a few months. it means to make sure everything is buttoned up so that it will be as easy as possible for your family. it means to say your goodbyes.

i lived with that diagnosis all day. later that evening i had a biopsy, where they stuck anendoscope down my throat, through my stomach and into my intestines, put a needle into my pancreas and got a few cells from the tumor. i was sedated, but my wife, who was there, told me that when they viewed the cells under a microscope the doctors started crying because it turned out to be a very rare form of pancreatic cancer that is curable with surgery. i had the surgery and im fine now.

this was the closest ive been to facing death, and i hope its the closest i get for a few more decades. having lived through it, i can now say this to you with a bit more certainty than when death was a useful but purely intellectual concept:

no one wants to die. even people who want to go to heaven dont want to die to get there. and yet death is the destination we all share. no one has ever escaped it. and that is as it should be, because death is very likely the single best invention of life. it is lifes change agent. it clears out the old to make way for the new. right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

your time is limited, so dont waste it living someone elses life. dont be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other peoples thinking. dont let the noise of others opinions drown out your own inner voice. and most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. they somehow already know what you truly want to become. everything else is secondary.

when i was young, there was an amazing publication called the whole earth catalog, which was one of the bibles of my generation. it was created by a fellow named stewart brand not far from here in menlo park, and he brought it to life with his poetic touch. this was in the late 1960s, before personal computers and desktop publishing, so it was all made with typewriters, scissors, and polaroid cameras. it was sort of like google in paperback form, 35 years before google came along: it was idealistic, and overflowing with neat tools and great notions.

stewart and his team put out several issues of the whole earth catalog, and then when it had run its course, they put out a final issue. it was the mid-1970s, and i was your age. on the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. beneath it were the words: "stay hungry. stay foolish." it was their farewell message as they signed off. stay hungry. stay foolish. and i have always wished that for myself. and now, as you graduate to begin anew, i wish that for you.

stay hungry. stay foolish.

thank you all very much

the president:

good morning. as families across the country enjoy the summer, americans can be optimistic about our economic future. in the past four years, our economy has been through a lot: we faced a stock market decline, a recession, corporate scandals, an attack on our homeland, and the demands of an ongoing war on terror.

to grow the economy and help american families, we acted by passing the largest tax relief in a generation. and today, thanks to the tax relief and the efforts of americas workers and entrepreneurs, our economy is strong and growing stronger.

this past week, we learned that america added over 200,000 new jobs in july. since may of 20xx, weve added nearly 4 million new jobs. the unemployment rate is down to 5 percent, below the average of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. and more americans are working today than ever before in our nations history.

recent economic reports show that our economy is growing faster than any other major industrialized nation. small businesses are flourishing. workers are taking home more of what they earn. real disposable personal income has grown by over 12 percent since the end of 20xx. inflation is low and mortgage rates are low. and over the past year, the home ownership rate in america has reached record levels.

the tax relief stimulated economic vitality and growth and it has helped increase revenues to the treasury. the increased revenues and our spending restraint have led to good progress in reducing the federal deficit. last month we learned that the deficit is now projected to be $94 billion less than previously expected. i set a goal of cutting the deficit in half by 20xx, and we are ahead of pace to meet that goal.

to continue creating jobs and to ensure that our prosperity reaches every corner of america, were opening markets abroad for our goods and services. this past week, i was proud to sign the central american-dominican republic free trade agreement. this historic agreement will level the playing field for americas workers and farmers, and open up a market of 44 million customers for products made in the united states.

to keep our economy growing we also need affordable, reliable supplies of energy. next week in new mexico, ill sign a bipartisan energy bill that encourages conservation, expands domestic production in environmentally sensitive ways, spanersifies our energy supply, modernizes our electricity grid and makes america less dependent on foreign sources of energy. and next wednesday in illinois, ill sign a highway bill that will improve the safety of our roads, strengthen our transportation infrastructure and create good jobs.

our economy is strong, yet i will not be satisfied until every american who wants to work can find a job. so this coming tuesday i will meet with my economic team in texas to discuss our agenda to keep the economy moving forward. as congress considers appropriations bills this fall, we will work with the house and the senate to ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, or not at all.

we need to make the tax relief permanent, end the death tax forever, and make our tax code simpler, fairer and more pro-growth. well continue working on social security reform. social security is sound for todays seniors, but theres a hole in the safety net for our younger workers, so ill work with the congress to strengthen social security for our children and grandchildren. ill continue to press for legal reform to protect small businesses, doctors and hospitals from junk lawsuits. and we will work to make health care more affordable and accessible for all americans.

the american economy is the envy of the world and we will keep it that way. we will continue to unleash the entrepreneurial spirit of america, so more of our citizens can realize the american dream.

thank you for listening.
