普濟寺導游詞我們現在來到的是普陀山的第一大寺--普濟寺。普濟寺又名"前寺"。它的前身是有名的"不肯去觀音院"。宋嘉定七年,皇帝御書"圓通寶殿"匾額,把這里定為專供觀音的寺院。后來這里多次被毀,到了明神宗萬歷三十三年,朝廷派太監張千擴建寶陀觀音寺,并賜額"護國永壽普陀禪寺",寺院規模宏大,一時甲于東南。康熙三十八年,賜額"普濟群靈",到了雍正年間,基本形成了現在的規模,如今的普濟寺,共有十殿、十二樓、七堂、七軒等共231間。

普濟寺前有一個高約20米的石牌坊,四柱三門,柱上橫眉雕刻有精致的云綾和石葫蘆。坊內北側,樹有一塊石牌,寫著"文武官員軍民人等到此下馬"。據傳這是皇帝下達的圣旨,過去官吏到此,文官下轎,武官下馬,以示對觀音菩薩的崇敬。

石牌坊后是一個約15畝的蓮池,名叫"海印池",也叫"放生池",建于明朝。"海印"是指佛的智慧能像大海一樣,印現一切之法,而"放生",則是與佛教的"慈悲"、"不殺生"等教義融合,進而發展成為的一種普遍的佛事活動。

當您來到寺前肯定會奇怪的問:"寺廟的正門關著,怎么進去呢?"這里還有一個故事。相傳乾隆皇帝夜游普陀山竟然忘了回去,當他返回到普濟寺的時候寺院大門已經關了,他要求開門卻遭到了拒絕。把門的小和尚說:"國有國法,寺有寺規",乾隆沒有辦法只能從東山門進入寺內。乾隆回宮后對此極為惱怒,下了圣旨:從今以后,此門不能開。這也就延續到了現在,只有在國家元首、寺院菩薩開光或者方丈第一次進門時才能打開,平時的游客們就只能從旁邊的側門進入了。

經過供奉著彌勒佛的天王殿,我們便可來到普濟寺中供奉觀音菩薩的主殿--大圓通殿。殿堂面寬七間進六間,宏大巍峨,可容數千人,有"百人共進不覺寬,千人共登不覺擠"的說法,于是也被稱為"活大殿"。走進大殿,可以看到正中供奉的一座毗盧觀音像,高約九米,頭戴毗盧天冠,天冠上有阿彌陀佛像,眉慈目善,慈祥含笑,身邊還站立著善財和龍女,神態天真活潑。

在中國,觀音菩薩可謂家喻戶曉,婦孺皆知。據佛經記載,遇到危難時只要念誦其名號,菩薩就能聽到,并前往拯救解脫,所以叫做"觀世音"。唐時因避唐太宗李世民的諱,略去「世」字,簡稱「觀音」,沿用至今。對大多數老百姓來說,不一定知道佛教的創始人釋迦牟尼佛,但卻很少有人不知道觀音菩薩,觀音實際上已成為民間佛教乃至整個民間宗教信仰的核心人物。

而我們眼前的這座觀音殿為什么叫做"圓通殿"呢?其實啊,正是因為觀音只要聽到苦難的呼救聲,便能眼觀,表示"耳根通,即眼、耳、鼻、舌、身、意六根通"。于是"圓通"便成為了觀音的代名詞,其意是"不偏倚,無阻礙",圓滿通達。

毗盧觀音兩旁還各塑有16尊不同服飾和形態的觀音菩薩,稱為"觀音三十二應身",這些都是觀音以不同身份教化世人的現身說法形象。三十二應身觀音只能以整體形式供奉,不能單獨出現,加上中間供奉的觀音佛身,這種塑法也正是觀音道場的獨特之處。

主殿兩邊還各有一個配殿,東配殿供奉文殊菩薩,西配殿供奉普賢菩薩,另外在法堂中還建有地藏殿,供奉地藏菩薩。

游覽完普濟寺的大小殿堂,您還可以到位于其東南的"多寶塔"看看。多寶塔建于元朝,是由普陀山僧人從江南帶回的太湖石堆砌而成,取《法華經》中的"多寶佛塔"之義定名。塔的外觀樸拙,穩重端莊,不像中國傳統的塔玲瓏小巧,每層塔的四面都雕有佛龕,里邊供奉著全跏趺坐式佛像,屬于古代蒙古族統治者信仰的佛教密宗造型,極富元代風格。據考察,這樣的塔在中國只有兩座,另一座在洛陽龍門石窟,所以它也有很高的文物價值。

多寶塔東面,就是普陀山著名的海濱浴場百步沙,這里沙質純凈、灘形優美,浪花連綿不絕,時間充裕的話你不妨前去感受一番。

佛頂山上的慧濟寺是普陀山最高的寺院,它雄踞山巔,倚天面海,仙云繚繞,風光壯闊,但因為建于山谷之間,占地面積有限,所以慧濟寺的布局便以天王殿和大雄寶殿為短軸線,向兩側作不完全對稱地展開,左右殿堂、鐘樓、廂房等建筑,均以游廊相接,加之中間的天井,便組成多個院落。尤其是東院新建的漢白玉荷花池,雕欄玉砌,水亭曲橋,別有一番江南園林的風味。

慧濟寺的主殿--大雄寶殿中,供奉著佛祖釋迦牟尼和他的兩位弟子阿難與迦葉。在主殿中供奉佛祖,與普陀山中其他寺院主殿供奉觀音菩薩不同。原來啊,在山頂供奉佛祖而不是觀音菩薩,暗示了佛祖至高無上的地位,即使在觀音菩薩的道場,也是不能例外的。大殿兩側的廂房里,塑有"二十諸天",簡單點講呢,他們是佛教的護法神。佛教認為,佛陀濟世傳播佛法之時,如果沒有得力的護法人,則會佛道隕落,所以佛國中才有許多的護法天神存在。他們都具有非凡的神通能力.可以幫助佛陀傳法,也可以震懾那些危害佛法的人。但是佛教的護法神可不僅僅是這二十諸天,而是一支龐大的隊伍,這支隊伍的名字叫做"天龍八部",代表了八支部隊,其中天部和龍部是最為重要的,而我們面前的二十諸天,就屬于"天部"。為了表示這些護法天神對佛祖的尊敬,他們的姿態都是往前傾斜15度的,除了普陀山慧濟寺以外,塑有這二十諸天的寺廟還有杭州的靈隱寺、北京大慧寺、以及大同的華嚴寺等。

當然,作為觀音菩薩道場普陀山的三大寺廟之一,慧濟寺也有專門供奉觀音菩薩的殿堂,叫做"觀音殿",與其他寺廟的觀音殿不同,這兒除了供奉有一尊2.7米高的觀音菩薩像以外,四壁還鑲嵌著總共100多尊線刻觀音像,匯集了唐、宋、元、明、清五朝名家的繪畫杰作,這些珍貴的觀音寶像石刻,也是慧濟寺重要的文物珍品。

慧濟寺后門,有一株"普陀鵝耳櫪",據說它最早是古代一位緬甸僧人來普陀山朝拜時帶來的,樹高13米多,從地表處開始分兩叉,往上分叉均一分為二,很有規則,并且雌雄同株,每年五月開花,十月中旬果子成熟。但因為其繁殖率極低,在其原產地緬甸早已絕跡,屬世所稀有。因此它也就成了普陀的象征,成了佛界的菩提。

要是您對普陀山的其它珍貴植物感興趣的話,不妨再到寺后坡下的新姜子木看看,這是一種僅見于浙江的珍稀樹種,被譽為"佛光樹",每當春季農歷二月十九觀音誕辰之日,它的嫩梢枝葉上就披上金黃色的絨毛,在陽光里熠熠閃光,好像一個報春的使者,為海天佛國增光添彩。
